There is something incredibly special about celebrating a wedding at home, and this beautiful backyard wedding in Bexley, Ohio was the perfect example. Surrounded by family and friends, the couple transformed a gorgeous Bexley home and its gardens into an intimate setting for their wedding day.

The day began inside the home as everyone got ready. I loved photographing all of the little details, from the wedding dress hanging among the greenery to the bride's shoes and the quiet moments of getting ready. Meanwhile, the groom spent the morning with his guys before everyone headed outside for the ceremony.  

The backyard garden made such a beautiful setting for the ceremony.  White chairs lined the lawn beneath the trees, with a simple floral covered arch creating the perfect focal point.  Shades of pink, mauve, burgundy, and deep red carried throughout the flowers and wedding party, adding so much color against all the surrounding greenery.

After the ceremony, we stayed in the gardens for wedding party and family photographs before the celebration moved into the reception.  We ended the evening with sparklers and surrounding the newlyweds, a perfect finish to such a joyful day.
